The Local Area Group meetings for police, councillors and members of the public (which were started only a year or so ago) have now been discontinued and will be replaced by so-called "Super LAGs" covering larger areas. There will be a Super-LAG covering Keyworth and East Leake and their surrounding villages, and the first of its meetings will be at the British Gypsum site near East Leake on 15 October. The intention is to have only 1 or 2 representatives from each parish.
However, the local police and councillors still feel that there is a need for an informal local meeting in Keyworth, and so the traditional liaison meetings will be revived, the first one being held at Keyworth Police Station at 10.00 on Wednesday 30 September. Please mail me or contact the police if you would like to come.
The Week of Action during 12-19 July got some positive write-ups and is being reported separately.
