Litter Pick in Keyworth

The organised Litter Pick in Keyworth was successful in terms of the turn-out and the improvement of the local streets. About 30 people turned out on a Saturday morning and collected their hi-vis vests, litter-picking tools and black rubbish bags, then set off for the four corners of Keyworth to make a difference to the pavements, gutters and hedgerows. The main kinds of litter that we found were cigarette ends, drink cans, bottles, sweet wrappers and crisp bags.
This joint venture by the Village Plan group and the Borough Council was a great example of community spirit in action. Let's hope that we have another Litter Pick soon.
