Contacting the County Council

Nottinghamshire County Council has recently installed a call centre with a single phone number - 0844 980 8080 - through which all calls from the public will be routed. It is the aim to deal with as many calls as possible at the first point of contact before routing them to other departments.

Calling this number generally costs about 3p a minute from landlines and more from mobiles, and this charge may apply even if you have a tariff (e.g. BT Anytime) which gives inclusive "free" calls to 0845 and other numbers. This does not generally include 0844 numbers.

If you want to avoid or reduce the charge, you can try calling the "geographic" number

01623 434975

which will often be included in "free" tariffs.

The e-mail address enquiries@nottscc.gov.uk may also be used for general enquiries.
