A calendar listing the bin collection days for next year has been distributed to residents, and it includes the special arrangements for the Christmas and New Year period.
In outline, the arrangements for Keyworth are:
Week beginning Monday 1 December: green and blue bins (as normal)
Week beginning Monday 8 December: grey bin (as normal)
Week beginning Monday 15 December: grey and blue bins
Week beginning Monday 22 December: grey bin (but not on your usual day - see calendar)
Week beginning Monday 29 December: grey and blue bins (but not on your usual day - see calendar)
Week beginning Monday 5 January: grey bin
Week beginning Monday 12 January: green and blue bins (back to normal)
As you can see, grey bins will be emptied in 5 consecutive weeks, during which green bins will not be emptied. This will be a good opportunity to clear out some clutter - use it!
Collection days for grey and blue bins will change during Christmas and New Year weeks. Please check your calendar.
Green bin collection will resume during the week beginning 12 January. This will be a good opportunity to dispose of natural Christmas trees (just chop them up and put them in the green bin).
