BGS archive tours on 29 November

The British Geological Survey (BGS) headquarters in Keyworth is organising free guided archive tours for the public on Saturday 29 November 2008. There will be ten 90-minute tours throughout the day. Booking is essential, as numbers will be limited. Complete the form on the BGS website:

www.bgs.ac.uk/education/archive_awareness/home.html

or contact Becky White on 0115 936 3021 or rwh@bgs.ac.uk.

These tours are in support of the Archive Awareness Campaign entitled "Communities, industry and earth history: how the past influences our environment".

Displays and demonstrations, using the vast collections, archives and modern computing technology available in BGS, will show how geology has had a significant influence on the development of the Midlands environment and its communities.
