New war memorial for Keyworth!
Following my report of 16 October about the poor state of the old war memorial, I am very pleased to report on the change that has taken place in a remarkably short time. Keyworth now has a magnificent new memorial engraved with the names of its men who fell in the two World Wars. Our thanks go to Mr. Cameron Ross, who donated £20,000 to the project and who made part of his property (the corner site where the British Legion used to be located and where a restaurant is due to be developed) available for this purpose. The new war memorial was attended by a large number of people for the annual Remembrance Sunday service on 11 November.
