After a brief hiccup in the transfer of responsibilities from Rob Inglis back to Emma Thacker, the monthly crime reports are now arriving regularly again.

There has been a recent increase in assaults and violent robberies in local shops and restaurants. Please report any of these immediately to the police, even if you think an assault is minor - any assault is a serious crime.

Especially during the summer months, please ensure that intruders cannot enter your house or garden through unguarded entrances, particularly at the back.

Emma Thacker and Phil Evans are based at Keyworth Police Station in Digital House (behind Somerfield, just off the Square). The direct telephone number is 0115 914 1621. The best time to find an officer at the station is between 8.00 and 9.00 am and between 3.00 and 4.00 pm on weekdays.

Police beat surgeries will continue to be held on the second Thursday of each month (please see the report for details).
