Heatstreets project for
assistance with fuel and insulation

Heatstreets is a partnership between Rushcliffe Borough Council and Powergen to tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions by offering residents free or subsidised loft and cavity wall insulation. Residents receiving certain benefits are eligible for help from the scheme. This year's scheme starts on 16 July and will run for an initial six-week period. Heatstreets surveyors will be targeting areas of the Borough looking for households that qualify for assistance. The scheme may then be extended so that more people can be helped.

Last year's Heatstreets project was a success, with over 500 houses in the Borough being improved, resulting in significant reductions in carbon emissions.
