Crime figures May 2007

Please click here for the police report (PDF file) on crime in the Keyworth area during May 2007.

There continues to be a distressing level of house burglary, and this is often prevalent in the summer months, when householders leave their doors and windows open (often at night) while moving freely between house and garden. Please spare a moment to lock up whenever an entrance to your house is unguarded and in danger of getting an unauthorised visitor.

Emma Thacker has now returned to work as Keyworth Beat Manager after her 7 months' maternity leave. I would like to thank Rob Inglis for his very capable performance as her stand-in. Rob's detailed local knowledge of Keyworth and its residents has been most valuable in focusing on crime and anti-social behaviour and in bringing offenders to book.

The new police contact point in Digital House (behind Somerfield, just off the Square) is now in use, and Emma Thacker and Phil Evans are now based there. The direct telephone number is 0115 914 1621.

Police beat surgeries will continue to be held on the second Thursday of each month (please see the report for details).
