Environmental Health tackling
anti-social behaviour
Following an internal re-organisation, the Environmental Health Service of Rushcliffe Borough Council has taken responsibility for the Council's statutory duty to investigate cases of anti-social behaviour. This transfer has included the relocation of Anna Hawkins, the ASB officer.
Other ASB functions, such as liaison with the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership and the development of proactive interventions to prevent and reduce crime and disorder, will continue to be delivered by the Community Safety Team.
Anna will be employed as a technical officer within the Environmental Health Service and will work alongside the existing officers as part of a larger team. Anna will no longer be responsible solely for ASB investigations, as she will also investigate other types of service requests. It is hoped that benefits will result from making the resources of a larger team available to ASB investigations.
Ben Adams, Principal Environmental Health Officer, will be responsible for direct management of the ASB investigation function, and any initial enquiries should be made through the Council's general enquiries number 0115 981 9911.
