Travel vouchers for the over-50s
Nottinghamshire County Council is offering anyone aged 50 (and over) free £5 transport vouchers for use with selected taxi or dial-a-ride services. This is especially useful if anyone is struggling with public transport, doesn't have a car, has no voluntary car drivers to help and isn't a regular Dial-a-Ride user.
A voucher can be used with any return journey regardless of the number of passengers, and the journey can take people out of the county, provided it starts in Nottinghamshire. Customer must ring up for a voucher for each journey 48 hours before it is needed and all vouchers will be sent by first-class mail. Vouchers can only be used with selected taxi services and customers can only have two vouchers per week per person. No change will be given with vouchers.
